Just received the fresh batch of tickets from Warner Bros. for The Book of Eli which will be on January 14th at 7:30 at the Winter Park Regal Cinemas. Don't know when the ticket drop-off will be so keep checking back here for more info.

I'm hoping to make this interface a little easier on all of us so you won't have to go scroll down to see my other reviews and so I can link into my Art Community which will not only feature some of my work but the incredible creations that are coming from GenkiGoth Studios and many other talented artists and creators that we know in the Central Florida Area.

I finally waited until the rush was over and got in to see AVATAR on Monday afternoon. Not a bad price for the matinee $11 for the 3-D showing at 1:30.

It's an outstanding movie in every aspect but I am writing my review out longhand so I can decide what angle I want to look at it from. Many reviews have already been posted all over the world since it just broke the BILLION dollar mark worldwide. I want to linger over my review before I try it out on you all. But go see it for sure if you can. Amazing!

See you in the Dark!

Sherlock Holmes Review by Joey Cruz

When all the holiday buzz has died down and everyone is all comfy from the fare, testing out the Snuggies by the fire, gather the family and head out to see Sherlock Holmes.

A blast from start to finish starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachael McAdams. Downey portrays Holmes unlike he's been seen before with a distracted genius aire in the right direction. Nothing is beneath his notice as the fight for right is what matters and the devil is in the details.

What's is missing from most Hollywood offerings are the clues leading to the discovery. Many Eureka! moments in movies are happy coincidence. Not here, the film leads you through the journey as a willing partner with clues laid out for the viewer detective to uncover. Slow-motion allows participation in the puzzles, and subtly, teaches something along the way.

Not taking itself too seriously is one of the many treats Sherlock Holmes provides. Great action, adventure and a delightful story carries this film through to the end and leaves a longing for more, which is most definitely to come.

A new and pleasant franchise is born under the renewed strength of Robert Downey Jr. who has been leading the charge of things just get better with age.

A must see from Warner Bros.
