Upcoming films and a Couple Reviews
Thursday, September 21, 2006, 05:49 PM
Open Season and Employee of the Month!

If you were out with us on Weds. night for All the King's Men, then you might have gotten a chance at tickets for the upcoming animated film "Open Season". That showing will be Tuesday, Sept. 26th at 7 PM, yes, 7 PM. Don't get there for the 7:30 showing cause you'll be more than 1/2 hour late (o:

Now, for those of you who didn't get a chance to get "Open Season" tix, RavenLoches never lets you down, ok, almost never, except that one time. But not THIS time! We now have a second showing for Thurs. Sept. 28th at 7 PM, yes 7, at the AMC Altamonte. It's a beautiful thing.

Next, after you've seen the great animation of "Open Season", we are also giving RavenLoches Entertainment tickets away for "Employee of the Month". This one looks like it will be fun with Crude and Sexual Humor and Language and stars comedian Dane Cook. Since this film is a couple weeks away, we have time to finger out what to do with the tickets and how to give them away. I want a fun way to do this one.

We'll see. Now.....
All the King's Men. We were all lucky to get into the new and beautiful Fashion Square 18 theater. Sean Penn and Anthony Hopkins starred in this film about small town southern politics in the days when you could call comone from Louisiana a hick or a cracker and not get decked for it cause that's what they identified themselves with. Hard working folks from a certain area and lifestyle. Sean Penn plays the puppet character of Willie Stark, an idealist who gets the idea in his head to run for Governor of that fine, unairconditioned state. Louisiana in case you missed it. Penn does a phenomenal job as a man who is angry at his fellow man for sitting there and taking what is handed to them with a thank you very much may I have another. Penn stands up and gives his people something to look forward to. Penn is the only thing good about this film. Don't get me wrong, everyone plays their parts very well, in character as they should be. But Penn shines, again, as he has ever since Fast Times.

I'll leave the rest to you to decide but I'll rate it at:
DVDMOTW.

Talk to you all soon. Be good to your waiters and waitresses, tip 'em hard, the rest was free!

Welcome to the Madness!

I hope everyone enjoyed the Gridiron Gang. Dan and Josh really hooked everyone up and we’d like to thank UCF for their great turnout.

Keep it here for information on where to get the latest round of tickets for upcoming films like All the King’s Men – with Sean Penn, Anthony Hopkins, Kate Winslet and James Gandolfini; The Departed – a Martin Scorsese cops and robbers film starring Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg and Leonardo DiCaprio; Martin Lawrence and Ashton Kutcher star in Open Season; and Employee of the Month is up for grabs with one of the hottest comics on the circuit – Dane Cook! If you want more information about any of these films, check out their links to the right, over there, yeh, on the right (o:

Ticket locations are for these and other great films coming up in the early fall movie season will be posted here soon!

Here are some my recent viewings as far as we’ve been. Please feel free to send Emails agreeing, disagreeing, saying that we’re clueless, anything. Feedback is good. Please let us know if you enjoy us out at the theaters. I know there are many people out there barking for your time at the front of the film but we aim to please, so tell us if we’re doing a good job and what you’d like to see more of. I know, more prizes. Yeah Yeah.

Joey’s rating scales are:
Great! – A must see ASAP.
Theater Worthy! – Have to see on the big screen and is a decent movie.
Rocks! – Should be seen in the dark with strangers.
Good – ‘nuff said.
Fun – May not be great or a must see, but it was a good time.
Date Movie – see it with a friend to stave off boredom.
Sigh – if it’s free or someone else is paying, or possibly a matinee.
Painful – Close to Why but might have to be seen for morbid curiosity.
DVD / MOTW – on DVD or wait for it on Movie of the Week.
Why? – There was no reason to make the movie at all.

Reviews:
Wicker ManSigh - not a very thrilling thriller.
Gridiron GangRocks! - And not just him.
Keeping MumTheater Worthy! - Dame Mags is killer.
The CovenantFun - The Craft for chicks.
The DescentFun – Smeagol’s Revenge.

That’s it for this time. I’ll try to keep up on the updates and get more info out to the masses. I’ll be very, very busy with a new drawing I have to create, some writing I have to do but most importantly, even vital even, playing my new Star Wars Lego II.

Be sure to visit Dan over at http://www.onemanrevolution.org

See you in the dark.

Wicker and Vampires and Kisses, Oh My - Yes! New Movie Tickets!
Wednesday, August 30, 2006, 02:43 PM
Finally, we have some new tickets to give away. We got a short run of The Wicker Man for Thursday, Aug. 31st at Altamonte AMC. There are precious few left (after the precious few we got) but I have a couple to give out. Lemme know and quick.

Next order of business is The Covenant, that, we have some to play with, we can handle a good run of you. We have to find a nice pick-up joint for everyone to get to. That always seems to be the problem. I, for sure, am not running from place to place just to hand out one or two tickets at a time. But that film, The Covenant, is for Thursday, September 7th at 730 pm at Premiere Fashion Square.

Meanwhile, at the same time, The Last Kiss is happening at Altamonte AMC on Thursday, September 7th at 730 pm. Decide which type of kiss you want and let us know. We definately have more Covenant tickets than we have Last Kiss, so pick quick.

RavenLoches is the best way to go, a ton of phone calls to me will only ensure that one of us will lose something along the way and someone won't get the tickets they want, and since we already have all the tickets we need, do the math (o:

We DO NOT have any promotional prizes as of yet for any films, including Wicker Man (sigh) so when we're at the theaters, that's the best time to find out.

I hope you've been enjoying our playful presentations at the theaters, and if so, let the management of each theater know. That's the best way to keep us (RavenLoches Entertainment) coming back to sponsor tickets, give out free stuffies and keep things fun.
