The latest chapter in the STAR WARS saga renews faith in the future of a legend that began a long time ago, in a galaxy ... (you get the idea). STAR WARS - The Clone Wars (debuts in theaters August 15th, 2008) was full of adventure, outstanding action sequences and fun, engaging characters.
Set in the midst of STAR WARS - Attack of the Clones and STAR WARS - Revenge of the Sith, Clone Wars fills in more of the mystery surrounding a pivotal yet barely referenced war mentioned a few sparse times in the first chapters of the original trilogy.
The Clone Wars follows the missions of Anakin and Obi-Wan as Anakin, a loner among the "go along, get along" Jedi Knights, is shocked to learn that he is tasked with the training of a Padawan Learner and returning a precious commodity to a familiar crimelord.
A teen from the planet Togruta, Ahsoka Tano, is spunky, innocent and skilled enough to give Anakin more then he envisioned being a mentor could be. She gives more dimensions to Anakin than had been seen in all three of the STAR WARS movies that detailed his origins. Finally, Anakin seems human, empathic and approachable. It has become more clear why Padme' fell head over heels with the future Dark Lord of the Sith.
This fully CGI rendered movie adds to the depth of the STAR WARS universe by tying breathtaking scenery and fantastic characters that are comfortably familiar yet taken to a new level by the animators.
The Clone Wars is an amazing addition STAR WARS that can be enjoyed by all ages. Inside references for the true SW fanatic, familiar characters, and great fun for the all younglings give this feature of George Lucas’ legendary chronicles the revitalization that was sorely needed.
